5/31 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - The Best of the Soulful Strings

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is The Best of the Soulful Strings. Nice cover with apparently nude woman with a bass between her legs. She's seemingly nude and attractive enough, just don't look at her feet.....they're huge! Like weird female alien creature huge...or at least they appear to be in the photo on the cover.

5/30 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - The Ventures: Kyo-On Music Series

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is an album that is likely a Japanese bootleg of Venture tunes. The album cover reads Kyo-On Music Series, The Ven Tures.   Again the dark-haired Japanese record execs chose a blond Caucasian for the model, and a sweaty nude one at that. Probably not what the Ventures had in mind for an album cover, but judging by some of their American releases, it could have just been what the doctor ordered.

Where Did the Cheesecake Go? Or am I Just Out of Touch?

I'm getting older, I get that. Everywhere all around us things are more progressive, yet lately I've seen less and less newly released music having cheesecake type cover art on LP's or CD's. Is it that it has just stopped, or am I just not listening to, or seeing, the right music? In the 1980's Samantha Fox was selling her music with picture discs like the one pictured.
Then, in the 1990's, did it just disappear, or get more underground? We were subjected to scantily clad Spice Girls spewing their pop and Britney Spears peddling her pedophile bait.

Then in 2000's we had some Christina Aguilera covers that were somewhat risque'.
And now in the 2010's, we're bombarded with Lada Gaga....uh....well....Lady Gaga...

Sometimes it makes you wish it was the 1950's again...

5/29 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day: Spend the Night With the Trashwomen

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is a newer LP. This 1990's release is by the all-girl punk band The Trashwomen out of San Francisco. The title of the album is Spend the Night With the Trashwomen. Back in the 90's the leopard skin print wasn't so high class as it is today. Sometimes you can find the LP on Amazon but it's a bit scarcer than the CD, which you can find on Amazon at the same link.

5/27 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Blackwell: Boogie Down

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is a late 1970's disco favorite, Blackwell - Boogie Down! Well, the album cover is a favorite. The funky Blackwell only ever put out a couple of albums and never really made it big, despite the risque' album cover.

5/26 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Enoch Light: Spaced Out

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Enoch Light's Spaced Out, released on the Project 3 label. The cover features a couple bikini clad ladies who apparently are floating in deep space with a galaxy in the background. Enoch Light was prolific to say the least. This album is another cover album of easy listening type covers of popular tunes with help from the MOOG.

5/25 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Luebeck German Sailors Chorus: Songs of the Sea

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Songs of the Sea on the Vox label by Luebeck German Sailors Chorus. This vinyl LP record cover features a photo of this poor woman who was apparently adrift at sea when she became entangled in a fishing net....or she was a mermaid and while caught in the net washed ashore and her tail turned into legs....either way, there's a woman with no clothes on wrapped in a fishnet while laying on rocks in a position that can't be comfortable.

5/24 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Wayne King: Melody of Love

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Melody of Love by Wayne King and his orchestra released on the RCA Victor label (cat. #LPM-1117) in 1955. Numerous copies of the LP are available on Amazon, and they're cheap as far as LP's with cheesecake album covers go. Pretty tame photo of a woman in a low cut dress with pearls, but very elegant and quite provocative for 1955.

5/20 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day: Bailando Con Rodolfo

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is an album by Rodolfo entitled Bailando Con Rodolfo (Dancing with Rodolfo). Released in 1982 on the Fuentes label in Peru. Despite the model not sitting in a very ladylike manner, virtually any shot of her would be more appealing and more likely to sell the record than any photo of the actual artist...

5/19 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Thumbs Tubby: Honky Tonk Piano

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Thumbs Tubby's Honky Tonk Piano. This record was released on the Halo label. The cover has the requisite busty girl in a teddy and fishnet stockings, but this one is extra appealing because she is holding a glass of beer.

5/18 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Miss Ketty: Don't You Want My Love

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Miss Ketty, Don't You Want My Love. This cover is from the 12 inch vinyl LP single. This record isn't the most common, but you can find it a number of places. The single was released a few years back, but it's nice to see that modern artists are not only keeping the vinyl record alive, but also the cheesecake cover art as well.

5/17 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Bert Henry: The Hard Way

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Bert Henry's The Hard Way, released on the Fax label. The cover features a woman who is apparently sitting in a chair the hard way and reads "Spiced wit for broad-minded men & male-minded broads." Bert Henry's day job was singing in a chorus at Disneyland, but in his spare time he was a stand-up adult comic and released numerous records of his material, all with covers that were quite nude and quite risque for the 1960's. Here's his ...At the Hungry Thigh...

5/15 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Julie London: Lonely Girl

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Lonely Girl by Julie London. This 1956 release was put out on the Liberty label. London was also an actress in addition to her recording career. This wasn't Julie London's only cheesecake album cover. She graced many of her own covers over the years in very attractive photos. Many of which are a staple of any great cheesecake collection.  Here are a few more...

5/14 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Nasty Rockabilly Volume 2

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Nasty Rockabilly, Volume 2. There's a whole series of these compilation LP's of 1950's rockabilly songs, this is one of the less graphic covers, if you can believe that. If you haven't seen this series and aren't opposed to black & white photos of the human form, go ahead and search Google for Nasty Rockabilly, go ahead....

5/12 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - Grey-Star: Telephone Sex

Today's cheesecake album of the day is Grey Star's Telephone Sex. The album was released in 1983 and despite the racy cover, didn't do much better than the other two prior Grey-Star albums, all of which are pretty scarce. Grey-Star had two lead singers, one of them being Ruby Star. Telephone Sex was the last album for Grey-Star as Mike Grey, the other lead singer, left the band. The following year Ruby Star put out an album under her own name, Under Your Spell.

4/9 Cheesecake Album Cover of the Day - ZO2: Ain't It Beautiful

Today's cheesecake album cover of the day is Ain't It Beautiful by ZO2. OK, we're straying a bit with this one, because as far as we can tell, ZO2 hasn't released any actual albums on vinyl record, but hey, they've still got some really great album covers. ZO2 is a Brooklyn classic rock band from today. They're about as close to new classic rock as you can get, and the nice thing about them is that they don't don't just sound like a cover band or crappy garage band playing classic songs. ZO2 has some really great albums on CD and mp3's available, all with great covers. Maybe someday they'll release some of their albums on vinyl for the LP lovers to enjoy. In the meantime, you can check out some of their other album covers below, or head on over to their website to sample their music.

Tammy Faye-Bakker Cheesecake Record Album Cover?
